Chris’s First Ride of the Season

We turn around and started to go back. Another reward, while I had struggled and faltered on the way there but on the way back I got into a groove and had the most fun of the entire ride. It was fast and furious and I rode the best I have ever ridden in my life. We get back to where we believe we went astray and promptly got lost again, stopping when the trail abruptly ended at a cliff. We sat on a rock and ponder the map, wondering, “Why can't we figure out why we’re here and not there”.

The sun is beginning to set, so we start back to the car and decide to find something called the “swinging bridge” before we leave. A nice towpath-type gravel path awaited my sore body, and when we got to the swinging bridge, we promptly jump up and down on it, what else is a swinging bridge for? There was so much more singletrack, but the sun is setting, and that was another adventure, for another day. And so ends the first ride of the season.

It’s a magical world go ride it, Chris
