That saturday Dan, Chad , and I set out to rough in the Trial before the work crews would set out in a mad frenze to groom the Trial in. Flagging and Cutting we worked our Way into the Woods and Round some Rocks. We curved around a blown over Tree and laying on the ground in a very relaxed state was a "white male in his late 30's". He seemed to be a little to relaxed so I poked him with the brush axe and he didn't move. Behind me the other 2 were running the saws and weed eater and didn't relaize what I had found. After further inspection i realized that the person was missing eyeballs. I stop and though......... "Cool a Dead Person". I yelled to the other guys "Hey, I found a Body". I didn't think they could hear me so I went to turn around and the two "Mr. Xprt" Racers were half way down the hill before. I could say "Let's Check it out."
I caught the two at the car packing up. They didn't want to go back up the Mtn. So we went down and called the cops. Evidently, A mentally disturded man went into the Hills to Relax and Froze to death. It's beautiful on those mountains in the winter I expect he had, had enough and just called It quits. He could not have been lost because he was so close to the road.
We still laugh at the two tough guys for HAULIN ASS down the mtn. Thats the fastest I have ever seen them go, even on a Bike.
