This trail has a Difficulty Level rating of Beginner to intermediate. If you take the Black Trail watch out for PUKE HILL a.k.a. CARDIAC HILL!

The trails are based on old carriage trails travel between the two lakes nestled in the Shawangunk Mountains. The lakes are both beautiful. The larger lake (Lake Awosting) has a beach to cool off in, and several places to stop for a picnic, or to just enjoy the view. Good introduction to mountain biking, without a lot of the technical challenges with only Steady hills. Trail maps are available.
