Whether your buying a mountain bike or a road bike, your first bike or someone else's first bike. Some forethought of what, where, how often you ride and how much money you want to spend will greatly improve the quality of your decision.
If your not sure what type of riding your interested in either get one of your friends who's got a mountain or road bike and convince them to let you take it for a spin. This will probably not be sufficient to get a feel for what you like. The next step is to find a place that will rent you the bike. This could be a local bike shop or a ski resort in the summer. If neither of these options can work for you I suggest that you surf the Web searching for bicycle rental. Once you decide what type of bike you like you have to start considering how often you plan on riding and where you're going to do that riding. If you're going to only ride two or three times in the middle of the summer then you can go down to Toys -R- US and get a keen new Ross because it doesn't matter. On the other hand if your going to enjoy the sport four or more times a month, or like myself three or four times week you'll have to answer a question. "where am I going to be riding?" Just think about that till next week when we'll continue. Joe Pucci Go To Page: 1
