There's lot of little wonderful surprises when you have little boys in the house. Especially if there is more then one in the house and they are under four. They seem to find these little surprises together. These little surprises also come at the moment when you need a smile.
It's amazing how the world stops when on of your little boys are hurt. It's also amazing the things you think about when your faced with a crisis. I thought about my husband and I trying to get our boys to do the Hokey Pokey. We danced and they was amused with watching. I remember one of my boys sitting in the yard with a spoon, not only eating the dirt off the spoon, but also feeding the dog. Yes, the dog was actually eating it. I thought about my oldest informing me that "I am not human. I am Trenten." I thought about my oldest love for motorcycles and how we stopped to eat at a restaurant, and while we was there lots of bikers showed up. It took us 15 min to leave, because he had to go around and show his uncle all the motorcycles. Or when, after watching my husband, he took his shirt off and refused to put it back on, because "Billy doesn't have is on." I remember my youngest sister, on her fifth birthday. I had asked her how old she was, and she told me that she was as many as on one hand. I remembered trying to brake one of my boys of spitting in the heater vents, and now a couple years later, trying to brake the next one of spitting over the side of the porch. I thought about my son lifting his bowl of spaghetti up, placing it on his face, so he could look through the bottom of the bowl at his grandfather with the same grin as his dad has. I thought about the neighbor's son bringing a worm into me. I told him it was a good looking worm, but worms didn't like to be inside. A little later, his mom and I stepped out the door on the porch to find the worm lying on the railing. We asked why he had put the worm on the railing. His answer: "He was all wet mom, so I put him up there to dry." Go To Page: 1 2
