She is Decorating again

She decided to wait until the Monday of her break to begin, knowing that on Sunday her older brother and family would be spending the afternoon with us. I thought this very practical and mature of her. Sunday evening she gathered her supplies and began moving her furniture away from the walls. Monday morning bright and early she went to work. By Tuesday night she had completed the job, including putting her book shelf together.

My husband and I have to admit her room looks very nice and she has been keeping it cleaner. The walls are crushed strawberry the trim black. She even got creative with the outlet covers and painted them red and black striped. Her comforter set is an animal print. She has yet to get new curtains up. She decided to make those herself and is waiting until she replenishes her savings account to purchase the material.

To be honest I’m not sure what all Samantha has learned from this experience. I myself have come to realize that she really does have some real artistic abilities. I also have gained a sense of security knowing that her determination combined with that artistic ability is going to take her as far in life as she wants to go.
