Different Priorities

I just realized the only things different about my mom and me are our priorities. She is content without make-up. She likes to have time alone, she wanted to be a ‘blah ordinary” housewife and she did it. She has a house full of kids and she loves it. Me on the other hand wanted my life this way. I want to be surrounded by people. I want to have a packed calendar. And that is the extent of it. That is the only way we are different. We both tried for what we wanted and we got it. Now if we could just kick back and enjoy it.
