While I feel good about our conversation, I still worry. Did I say enough? Did I say too much? I am not sure I will ever know the answers. According to all the experts though, just talking with her was the important thing.

I have Parenting Today’s Teens to thank for encouraging me to converse with Samantha in this manner. Found at http://www.parentingteens.com it is chock full of helpful articles covering all aspects of parenting teenage sons as well as daughters. The best advice though is when the opportunity strikes, don't let it pass by without taking advantage.

I think it is wonderful that you and your daughter can talk so freely with each other.

The things that were not discussed this time will eventually come up and you both will deal with them ...
