Shortly after my first Sacrament Meeting at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we were assigned a home teacher. This gentleman visited us regularly bringing messages about the restored gospel. At the age of ten I was baptized a member of the Church and have never looked back.
Of course, my testimony has grown over the years and my faith has been tested, but I can truthfully say that I do indeed have a testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I prayed to know whether or not Joseph Smith had the vision he claimed he had. I received my own witness and am absolutely certain Joseph Smith did see the Father and the Son. I have no doubt that he translated the ancient text we now know as The Book of Mormon. I am certain he was a prophet of God and that he restored all that is necessary for each of us to return to our Heavenly Father.
I know that Heavenly Father hears and answers prayers. He has always answered mine. Throughout my life I have turned to my Father in prayer and He has always been there for me. Sometimes I have not liked the answer, but he has always heard me. I am so thankful for the privilege of conversing with Him through prayer.
I have a testimony of the atonement of Jesus Christ. I know He is my Savior and that He has redeemed mankind from the fall of Adam. I know He will return again someday and I hope that I will be worthy to abide His presence. I know He will reign again someday in glory and in peace.
I have no doubt that we all once lived together in harmony with our Father. I have faith in His plan of happiness and know that there is life after death. I have had my own personal experiences that have testified to me that life does indeed go on after death.
