Parc du Mont-Royal or as it is more commonly referred to as LA MONTAGNE There are approximately 20km (12 miles) of trails and most are groomed for cross-country skiing. You will also find some secondary paths that ambitious skiers have opened up.
You can pick up a map of the trails at the Smith House located at the parking lot located at the bottom of the Chalet.
Plan to spend at least a half a day and bring along your lunch. You will find snack bars as well as toilet facilities. You will also find at Beaver Lake a skating pond as well as changing facilities and a snack bar.
If you enjoy tobogganing there are several small hills where you can glide down and enjoy one of Montréal's favourite pastimes.
If you plan to ski during the weekend, try arriving early as the parking lot fills up quite quickly. During the week you will not encounter the crowds.
Parc Angrignon 3400 Boulevard des Trinitaires is one of Montréal's largest parks and has 2 cross country trails of about 8 km. The location is very near the métro station Angrignon and there is ample parking.
