Luclin Release This Week!
Okay guys and gals, this is it – Luclin Release Week. Everybody’s gearing up for it! Ubi Soft says that the release is being coordinated in all countries simultaneously on December 3rd! Server updates, however, will likely keep anybody from actually playing in Luclin until December 4th. See you there!
Meridian 59 Purchased by Near Death Studios, Inc.
Anyone who remembers the very first, and some say the best, 3-D MMORPG, will be crazy with joy at this announcement. Near Death Studios, founded in 2001 by former Meridian 59 game developers Rob Ellis II and Brian Green, has announced that they have purchased Meridian 59 from 3DO. According to the press release, Rob Ellis II has served as Lead Level Designer, Game Designer, and World Builder, on such titles as Meridian 59 and Ultima Online. “Meridian 59 was my first game and I’m incredibly pleased to have the opportunity to allow fans to once again play their favorite online only game,” said Rob.

Funcom Announces Re-Evaluation Offer for Anarchy Online
As of November 30, 2001, Funcom has opened all the cancelled accounts on Anarchy Online. Former players can log on and play for free for 30 days! Funcom is hoping that players will re-evaluate the game and find that the many changes that have been incorporated into the game will bring previous subscribers back into the fold.
