Artifact Entertainment
Artifact Entertainment has raised $4.5 million in its second round of funding. The current round of funding was completed by the venture capital firm, Forrest Binkley & Brown and NCSoft, a publicly-held Online Gaming company. The company says that the funds will be used to fulfill working capital requirements, as well as to ensure the completion of its "Evolution Engine" technology and the highly anticipated interactive gaming title, "Horizons."

Todd McFarlane to Collaborate On New Version of Ultima Online
Origin Systems has signed an agreement with Grammy and Emmy-winning producer/director Todd McFarlane (the guy who brought you Spawn!) to create characters exclusively for Ultima Online(TM): Lord Blackthorn's Revenge, the latest version in the Ultima Online (UO) series.

Exactly! And correct me if I'm wrong but they long since stopped offering free trials, and are charging for people to play the "extended beta release".

I think Strategy First just didn't consider ...
