Asheron’s Call
Asheron’s Call: Dark Majesty hit retail shelves on 10/26/01, to the delight of AC players everywhere. This delight, however, was quickly followed by frustration as the Microsoft Zone subscription system was overcome by the multitude of players trying to sign on. Some players tried to get on the system for a full two days without luck.

Those able to get on the system, however, reported positively on the new expansion. The new island, Marae Lassel, sports exciting new creatures to hunt, and players finally get a chance to go up against the Olthoi Queen.

Asheron's Call Dark Majesty, the expansion for the popular massively multiplayer role-playing game Asheron's Call, is for about $20.00 (U.S.), and includes one free month of play.

In other AC news, there is a new movie on the “sequel” to Asheron’s Call, which is currently being called Asheron’s Call 2. See the movie here:

EverQuest to Become a Comic Series
Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) has announced that EverQuest will soon be turned into a comic-book series. Wildstorm Productions, a division of DC Comics, is set to publish the comics, as well as one-shots and graphic novels based on the game.

Exactly! And correct me if I'm wrong but they long since stopped offering free trials, and are charging for people to play the "extended beta release".

I think Strategy First just didn't consider ...
