Selig is a liar. He is out for the interests of owners, not the interests of baseball. Selig would have you believe that those two items are one and the same, but they are not.

If you are going to eliminate two teams, finances should not be the only consideration. How about considering the significance of the franchises? The Twins and Marlins have won at least one World Series in the 90's. The Expos and the Devil Rays have won nothing.

Selig is a poor commissioner. He is incapable of dealing honestly with the fans or with the union. If there is a work stoppage, the blame should rest squarely on the shoulders of Selig.
