If you are an avid fan of fantasy or rotisserie baseball, or just a sabermetrician, the article by Voros McCracken of Baseball Prospectus is a great read. McCracken takes a look at which pitchers are most successful when the ball is put in play. That is, take away strikeouts, home runs, walks, HBP, intentional walks, etc. and only consider balls that are hit onto the field of play. The results are extremely interesting. Also, Rob Neyer of ESPN reviews the article and makes some additional points.
