A Preview of the NL Central

Pittsburgh Pirates If there is a surprise team in the NL Central, then this team could be it. They have a solid core of good hitters and good pitching, but none of the players are proven.  Will Jason Kendall be able to catch right away?  Can starting pitchers Benson, Schmidt, Ritchie, and Cordova all have break out years at the same time?  Who is the closer?  Can a team this young and inexperienced put together a miracle season?

Cincinnati Reds No one can overlook this team. GM Jim Bowden has been on fire this off-season. I pick them to win the division.  Can the starting rotation (especially Neagle) stay healthy?  Can the team find a fifth starter?  Just how big will Griffey's impact be on the team?  Where will Deion Sanders play if he makes the team?
