SURVIVOR, COMBAT MISSIONS and the "Reality" Wars

It is our hope to broaden our scope in future seasons to other members of military, law enforcement and even the civilian community.

COMMENT: As I have stated before, I guess the producers of the show never really realized that before you get that little tab you had to be just a grunt once upon a time. I guess being a grunt was not good enough for them. Which was probably why I didn't get the job. When the producer found out I never was a green beany, and this was after an hour long interview, I was out the door so fast my eyes didn't stop spinning for an hour.

2. Can you give me some specifics about the actual COMBAT MISSIONS?

Because we want to maintain the secrecy and integrity of the games, we can't reveal all the missions. We can say that they are authentic and realistic military and law enforcement scenarios. All have been created and designed in conjunction with our military and law enforcement expert advisers.

COMMENT: The reason they had to maintain secrecy is that they were waiting to hire the military advisors to create the scenarios for them. Let us hope that those they did hire do justice to their experience.

3. Won't you be giving away trade secrets and threatening our domestic and national security?

No. No. No. Believe us when we say we understand this concern. Ultimately, COMBAT MISSIONS is a sports contest show; it's simply the "contests" are "based upon" military scenarios or war games. COMBAT MISSIONS will not be a "school" for educating terrorists and others with hostile intent. We have assembled a very strong military and law enforcement tactical advisory group who have reviewed all of the aspects of the show's content. All missions depict actions and scenarios that are already commonly available in numerous publications on the subject. We could not get the cooperation of such knowledgeable and credible advisors on our team if they felt they were somehow compromising their profession and "selling out" their country.

COMMENT: At the time of interview, they had not assembled anyone. This leads me into another line of discussion. As I have read, a participant of the SURVIVOR show is suing and being sued because she contends that the show was rigged. While I saw no sign of "rigging" during the interview, I could tell from the discussions with the producer that certain decisions about certain kinds of
