So as we have clearly seen, the Al-Qaeda terrorist network may be dying, a little, but it is certainly not dead. The U.S. effort to rid the world of terrorism and terrorists from that particular group has been both effective and ineffective but it has to be complete. They must find Osama Bin Laden and his top advisors and either capture or kill all of them in an effort to at least "cut off the head in hopes that the body will wither away." This may or may or may not work but it is something that the U.S. has to get done. It is felt that if Bin Laden is killed or captured, thus away from control of the group, most of his followers might just quit and go home. Hopefully that is the case but we are still a long ways away from that ever happening.
