Philadelphia Flower Show 2002- "The Pleasures of the Garden"
The grandfather of the U.S. flower shows, the Philadelphia Flower Show germinated in 1829 and has blossomed into the premier show in the nation. The 2002 show will feature 10 acres of indoor exhibits and a plethora of educational functions. The show is presented by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society at the Philadelphia Convention Center.
Dates & Times: Sundays, March 3 & March 10: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, March 4, - Friday, March 8: 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, March 9: 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Ticket Info: Advanced $18, Children(2 to 12) $10, Door: Opening Sunday $24, Weekends $22, Weekdays $20, Children $10 Groups 0f 20 or more: $17.50 good any day
Features: Lecture Series- Free with admission featuring national and local gardening experts. Approximately 12 lectures are offered each day. The Gardeners Studio: Free with admission- featuring regional experts two stations on the show floor. Presentations are offered every hour on the hour, approximately 16 each day.
Garden Teas each Sunday, All Star Culinary Presentations, Book Fair, and a Bridal Day are also planned during the show.

Washington Flower and Garden Show- Now called the Washington Home and Garden Show
This show was once billed as the most attended annual show in the DC area when it was just the Washington Flower and Garden show alone. Its hard to fathom why the home portion was added. This is decidedly a commercial production and the addition of the home segment to the show is most regrettable. Dates and Times: March 7 - 10 Thursday thru Friday: 11AM - 9 PM Saturday: 10 AM - 9 PM Sunday: 11 AM - 6 PM

A seminar schedule is planned but hasn't been posted as of this writing. Apparently there will be two stages with one devoted to garden topics and one to home improvement topics.

Cincinnati Flower Show "A Tribute to Cincinnati"
This show is billed as the only North American flower and garden show endorsed by the Royal Horticultural Society of Great Britain, producer of the world renowned Chelsea Flower Show. It is one of the latest spring flower shows and features outdoor exhibits.
Dates and times: April 24-28, 2002 Wednesday-Saturday, 9:00 am to 8:00 pm
