I ran across a great article you have to read. The Discovery Channel online has an article titled The Spice of Death - for Bacteria. I knew eating all that spicy Mexican and Indian food was good for me! In a nutshell, this article states that spices and herbs can kill bacteria. Recipes developed before the age of refrigeration used many more spices. Enough said by me. Go to that article. I know what you are thinking. Chamberlain's having a bad writing week and is wimping out. You're right. However, that article is a good one and it does involve microbiology. Oh well, next week "Salmonella Kills Birds!"
