Bacteria Survived Travel to Moon

This has been a very busy week. Sometimes you bite off more than you can chew. This week I have been trying to finish a grant proposal for a September 25th deadline and serve as course director for an Infectious Diseases course all at the same time. As a result, I haven't been able to get you a new microbial story for this week.  However, I did find some very good facts and stories that might keep your microbe hunger to a minimum.

A website sponsored by the American Society for Microbiology, the National Science Foundation, and the Department of Energy called MicrobeWorld has got a file with some really amazing microbial stories. Go see for yourself. Bacteria really did survive a trip to the moon.
