There are times in our lives when it becomes difficult, if not impossible to maintain a balance between physical and spiritual commitment. The busyness of family and work responsibilities take over, and the spiritual promises we have made to ourselves are pushed aside. It is at these times, when we must force ourselves to stop and remember Spirit in our life.
In Matthew (KJV) 6:33, Jesus instructed us to “Seek ye first the kingdom of God.....” This simple phrase is a reminder to make daily communication with Spirit our first priority. For if we neglect the I AM of our being, we lose the ability to tune into our internal knowledge of our path in life. When we take the time for daily meditation and reflection we open up a path for our internal knowledge to flow. Sometimes is seems as if everything and everyone is demanding our immediate time, energy and attention. It is then, that we have the most difficult time hearing our internal, Spirit inspired, Guidance. Those are the times it is most important for us to stop and set aside time for meditation. If we fail to listen to Spirit, we run the risk of allowing ourselves to be pulled off our path. Let us strive to put Spirit first, not only in our intentions, and actions but also in our day. As we awaken to each new day, remember to take the time to connect with that internal part of each of us that Is Spirit. Love, Light and Blessings to all
