The line "On earth as it is in Heaven" is an affirmation of perfection. Heaven is defined by American Heritage as "The abode of God, the angels, and the souls of those who are granted salvation. A state or place of happiness." Jesus told us in Matthew 4:17 "Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." The word repent means, according to American Heritage, "to feel regret or self-reproach for what one has done or failed to do. To change for the better as a result of remorse or contrition for one's sins."

What does all this mean? Jesus told us to change for the better because heaven, the abode of God, a place of happiness, is within reach. As explained in last week's article, heaven is a state of mind where we are able to fully express the Spirit within us. We are able to manifest God's will and do God's perfect work as we are intended to do. This state of perfection is what many on the Spiritual Path are seeking. In Matthew 19:14, Jesus said "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." And in Matthew 18:3 "Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven." What is it that children are that adults are not? We adults tend to question everything and accept very little. Children speak their minds, and their hearts. A child loves openly and cries openly. Children hold nothing back. Adults are rarely open with our emotions. We guard them like precious jewels. It's the ability to share themselves wholly that allows a child to live in heaven . And our inability to let go of blocks and fears that keeps adults in hell.

We must learn to rid ourselves of our blocks and fears so that we may move from hell into heaven. This is not an easy thing to do. The mind tends to interfere, magnifying our existing fears and creating new ones. You need to learn to ignore the head when it comes to spiritual matters. Listen only to your

Heaven is the abode of God, but is was not always so perfect. The Bible also tells us that Lucifer rebelled and that there was war in Heaven, could not have been so peaceful and perfect on that day. ...
