Sometimes, before a therapy session, if I am feeling particularly worn out, I take five minutes to walk around outside, perhaps without shoes to really get in touch with myself again. This helps to rid me of all factors which should not be in the room with myself and the other person anyway. Then I am able to give him or her my full attention, and to try harder to really understand what is going on. So, if I leave you with one thought, today, I hope that it is to treat your patients with complete respect - treat them as you would like them to treat you.
