Hewitt on target
In Santiago, Chile former French Open champion Gustavo Kuerten won his first title of the year, defeating Mariano Puerta by 7-6 (3), 6-3.
Finally at the Columbia Open in Bogota, Puerta went one better by beating Younes El Aynaoui 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) for his first title of 2000.
