Seven days in May...

Now that "what did Bush (and Israeli intelligence)know and when did he know it" is all over the media with relish...

Robert Scheer-Hiding Behind a Veil of Executive Priviledge? --- "http://www.gordonthomas.ie/104.html"l Globe-Intel: Bush Ignored Warning that will Come Back to Haunt Him ----- "http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/art..." ...they are trying to create as much damage control as possible over Bush administration incompetence with, you guessed it, dredging up Chandra Levy almost with the deftness of Bill Clinton covering up bombing a Sudan Pharmacueticals factory by mistake with Monica whatshername. Funny how all of a sudden Levy's remains are found in a Washinton DC park, as well as those of another intern!

Just as interesting are other stories, such as commercial advertizers trying to use the legal system to wipe out their worst nightmare: digital video recorder companies like TiVo enabling consumers to turn off annoying TV commercials forever. Read "http://www.nytimes.com/2002/05/23/techno...", the article entitled, "Digital Video Recorders give advertizers pause" by Amy Harmon. Next thing you know, advertizers will lobby for the legalization of subliminal advertizing! Why is it that certain segments of the media can't get over mind, behavior, and population control? Why is it they can't learn the fact that just when they think they've put it over on us for good, someone comes along and invents a better "mousetrap" so to speak, and they go into another tizzy?

Then you have commentator Walter Block crying about celebrities like Muhammed Ali and Michael J. Fox lobbying Congress to get taxpayer funding for their pet cause, research into ending Parkinson's Disease (read: "http://www.lewrockwell.com/block/block12...", the article called "Celebrities actively engaged in legalized theft" by Walter Block), calling it socialism. But where was Block when the "new world order's" favorite poster boy, Bono, was lobbying Congress, the Pope, and every other first world government to force taxpayers in "rich countries" to fund the repayment of third world debt in order to let "the world's poor" (read: corrupt third world dictators) off the hook with the IMF? Now, that's socialism!

Second act in the absurd department is Bill "Mr. Bombast" O'Reilly trying to destroy the First Amendment by calling on Catholics to force a billboard company to take down a sign that says: "The Pope is the AntiChrist". There is absolutely no shame in this man, who used to be a fairly decent makeover of Rush Limbaugh before he became another self-bloated media millionaire. Where are you, Robert Downey? Imus? Whatshisname? But if the self-righteous win out, the creator of the sign has another trick up his sleeve: a sign challenging anyone to come up with a Biblical explanation as to whether the Sabbath actually was changed from the seventh day of the week to the first--by God, that is, not mere mortals. (Read: "http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTI...", the article titled, "Catholics to 'wage war' over AntiChrist sign" by Joe Kovacs)
