Another case for Internet Explorer

When I was Eating Disorders Host for BellaOnline, I griped and complained when I was told that because the Delphi Forum Chats were set up so that Netscape wouldn't work (Netscape didn't have the correct script of something), I would have to download Internet Explorer 5.0 (IE 4.0 didn't work either since the Javascript wasn't part of this version), which, living in a rural area with analogue phone lines, took about 2 hours (not to mention that I had to download Microsoft Runtime for Java, which didn't come with the Mac version of IE 5.0--funny how Mac users always get the short end of the stick, though Mac is a much better OS--ask any Windows user!).

Blessing in disguise! My Netscape Communicator 4.7 is all but useless now--I don't know how it happened, but, while I was able to save all my e-mail on a Zip disk, I have lost all 100 or so bookmarks and when I type in a URL into the location box, the computer crashes! Thus, I can no longer use Netscape. (If anyone at Suite101 reads this, don't ask why I now have to request that I no longer have to login when I now go on Suite--for pity sake, half the time I try to login I get an error or "invalid login" message! For, as anyone who uses two browsers knows, if the browser one used to become a Suite editor was Netscape, one must login every single time if you login with IE or if you login from another computer. Is there a way around this?)

In fact, all the time I use IE I never have a problem, whereas with Netscape--which USED to have my main e-mail--the darned thing crashed half the time anyway. Now that it crashed ALL the time, it is no wonder I no longer wonder why IE has become the browser of choice for a majority of Web users.

I never thought I would say this--thank you, Mr. Gates!
