Gore's "journalism" meets Eminem's "Bad Rap"
There is a very simple reason for this, and I will shout it as loud as I can: YOU, NOT SOME IDIOT ROCK STAR, ARE THE INFLUENCE ON YOUR KIDS THEY MIND MOST!!! (Or rap stars, or movie stars, or outer-space stars!) Teens know what the deal with Eminem's rap lyrics is: shock, so he can rake in the bucks. As if your child is really going to do what he says he wants to do! You are who your child listens to, if he listens to anyone--but he won't listen to you if you keeping paraphrasing the likes of Phyllis Schlaffley or Beverly LeHaye (Christians-for-profit is there ever were any!) and don't give him any credit for his own decent behavior.
How soon us adults forget: there we were idolizing the likes of Jim (exposing himself) Morrison and Mick (Altamont) Jagger, but not doing much of the trash behavior they promoted, knowing it was just them trying to a (huge) buck through their shocking lyrics. How dare we get all over our kids for doing the same things we did! And how dare we let hypocrites like Schlaffley and LeHaye lead us into thinking some idiot rock star is leading our kids into Hell fire's corruption!
Gimme a break! And give your kids a little credit for some sense! And if you really want the likes of Eminem to go away, stop paying attention to what he sings, and then your kids will!
