So Many Media Links, So Little Time

In the more than four months I have been suite101.com's CE for Media Issues, I have visited over seventy new media web sites, zines, newsletters, etc. covering almost every conceivable philosophical persuasion and degree of political correctness or incorrectness one can imagine. Some of the best are: "http://www.worldnetdaily.com/" (if you still haven't checked them out, please do so!), "http://www.jewishworldreview.com/" (you don't have to be Jewish!), "http://www.lewrockwell.com/" and its affiliate, "http://www.antiwar.com/" if you are inclined toward conservative/libertarian thinking;

"http://www.counterpunch.org/", "http://www.motherjones.com/", http://www.commondreams.org/" "http://www.consortiumnews.com/", and "http://www.pacifica.org/" for leftists who are also politically incorrect (yes, not only is there such a thing as a politically incorrect leftist, but I am more and more inclined to think that I belong in this camp almost as much as I do in the "right-wing" politically incorrect camp! I used to be quite a leftist, you see; but a lot of us present day conservatives were, so it's no big deal.).

But if you insist on being (or being persuaded to be) politically correct, there are still a few media outlets who you can trust to at least try out the truth and won't put a "spin" on everything: "http://www.washingtonpost.com/", "http://www.foxnews.com/", "http://www.msnbc.com/", "http://www.salon.com/" and "http://www.nypostonline.com". Notice the New York Times and CNN did not make this list--lately they have been particularly prone to "official" lines, propaganda, and criticism of everything that disagrees with their socialist agenda. (All is not lost--"http://cnn.com/WEATHER/" does have good weather reports.)

Lately I have come across a few excellent pop culture/counterculture sites which actually have news and commentaries about the state of pop culture without all that "who's sleeping with whom" nonsense. More like which best selling authors/directors/movie-rock-rap-country-etc stars are aiding and abetting the CIA-kind of stuff. Check them out at "http://www.suite101.com/links.cfm/media_...":

LM Online at: "http://www.informinc.co.uk/". Not only did they get sued (and lost) over exposing an ITN photo that was faked to show a "Serb extermination camp" in Bosnia, they also provide interesting articles on popular culture from a Marxist (but politically incorrect nevertheless) point of view. LM stands for "Living Marxism">

Rock and Rap Confidential at: "http://www.rockrap.com", and their very amazing insider archives of pop culture true conspiracy is at: "http://members.labridge.com/rockrap/arch..." where you can find out who in the field of pop culture entertainment are stooges for the CIA, for instance.

Suck Daily at: "http://www.suck.com/daily/" which is just plain weird. I get the opinion by reading some of their articles that the zine is Jewish, except for the fact that it seems they are also very anit-Jewish! For instance, they had a JDLer on there who denounced the JDL! I don't think they want you to figure them out. However, they are quite informative on pop culture issues.
