Part 3: Who Does Mainstream Media Serve?© 2000 by Deborah Lagarde, for publication Friday, February 25, 2000. Comments? E-mail: "mailto:dlagarde@suite101.com" Last week (Part 2) I told you about which mainstream media organizations were represented by the three main secret power-elite groups discussed in Part 1 of this series: The Bilderbergers, the Trilateral Commission, and the Council on Foreign Relations. This week I will list (according to the 1995 work "Who's Who of the Elite" by Robert Gaylon Ross, Sr.) the names of some well-known media celebrities who are members of these groups, and then you will understand what kind of agenda these individulas are trying to impart to us media consumers. Most of these individuals are in the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). There are a few Trilaterals but most of those appear to be behind-the-scenes types you never heard of, while a couple of the big-bigs, like the Washington Post's Katherine Graham, are Bilderbergers. And, in fact, the CFR is on a somewhat lower rung than the Bilderbergers policy-wise, its members being published every year in their mouthpiece Foreign Affairs magazine. Well, without further ado: Norman Podhoretz, Ed. in Chief, Commentary (C) Arnaud de Borchgrave, Ed. in C (emeritus), Washington Times (C) William F. Buckley, Ed. in C, National Review (B,C) [Would you believe this so-called conservative is a Bilderberger??] Meg Greenfield, Columnist, Newsweek (C) Irving Kristol, C0-Ed, Public Interest & American Enterprise Institute (C) C. Corr, CBS Sixty Minutes (C) Marvin Kalb, Ch. Dip. Corr emeritus, CBS & NBC (C) Rowland Evans, Synd. Columnist & Co-Anchor, CNN (C) Bernard Kalb, Moderator, CNN (C) Jesse Jackson, Host, & founder of Rainbow Coalition, CNN (C) [Is he their token black??) Tom Brokaw, Anchor, NBC (C) John Chancellor, Commentator emeritus, NBC (C) Irving R. Levine, Ch Econ. Corr, NBC (C) Jim Lehrer, Co-Anchor McNeil-Lehrer, PBS (C) Bill Moyers, Exec. And notice only a handful of women and a finger-ful of minorities? Now, these groups advocate political correctness, pandering to minorities and women and to heck with white men. Yet, 95% of these folks are white men. They obviously don't believe in enforcing political correctness on themselves, the bloody hypocrites!
