The Corporate Media: Whom Do They Serve? Part 1This article for publication Friday, Feb. 11, 2000 is © 2000 by Deborah Lagarde. Comments? E-mail: "mailto:dlagarde@suite101.com" As I downloaded my CE page to write an article for this week of February 8, 2000, not knowing what to write, I glanced up at my computer desk shelf and found my "Who's Who of the Elite" by Robert Gaylon Ross, Sr., published by RIE (actually, self-published would probably be more like it). Thus, I now have my article topic, which is to point out by what mechanisms the powers-that-be control what we see and hear through mainstream media. In this, Part 1, I will list the elite groups that do, in fact, control much of what happens in the world (but not all, thank God. Literally!). The Elite Groups The Bilderbergers. This is the "secret" group that organs in the alternative media reported so much about last year when they had their ultra-secure secret meeting in Portugal (go to "http://www.the-news.com" or "http://www.worldnetdaily.com" and look up keyword "Bilderbergers" in their archives) to discuss how they wanted to reshape the world to their elitist desires. Only the most important elitists are in this group, which includes Clinton, Bill Gates, Blair, the royal families of Europe, the Rothschild banking clan, among others, and membership is by invitation only. It is headquartered in the building owned by the Carnegie Foundation for World Peace at 345 E. 46th St. in New York City. For more information about the Bilderbergers, go to "http://www.spotlight.org". The Council on Foreign Relations. The CFR ("http://www.foreignrelations.org") puts out a monthly magazine called "Foreign Affairs" at "http://www.foreignaffairs.org" in which it outlines basic policy statements that the globalists want to carry out. One of the stories in the present issue on the site is called "Rwanda in Retrospect" (Imagine--genocide, starvation, Ebola virus, failed UN peacekeeper intervention and savagery almost unheard of on a human scale, all nicely evoked in this Ivory Tower think tank mag as if the reality in Rwanda was just a bad dream in a Third World hell-hole. How quaint!.) When I say "globalists" I mean supporters of a "one-world government" (something that, try as elitist conquerers have done throughout history, has always ended in failure, to one degree or another--a point that "anti-new world order" fans need to constantly keep in mind and in focus. In fact, it is the one-worlders' biggest weakness that they won't recognize the fact that they are doomed to failure in trying to set one up, and won't learn from failed empires like the Assyrian, Alexander's, the Roman, the Holy Roman, the Mongol, the British, etc.).
