Not my last column, but...

And now, back to the original plan for September...

http://www.tmtmetropolis.ru/stories/2003... Die Laughing by Christ Floyd

Actually this editorial was called "War Criminal Hires War Criminals to Hunt Down War Criminals", and, while not exactly the source of the sickening news that Bush was hiring Saddam's secret police thugs to intimidate the Iraqi people (it was the Washington Post), this editorial is much better than the Post article, which tries to sanitize this contemptuous deed by Dubya for us Americans--naturally, it comes from The Moscow Times! After reading, scroll down to the list of other Floyd editorials about Bush's antics. This wouldn't be the first time a US administration hired thugs to further the cause of chaos and ruin, let alone US Imperialism.

Simply, no one in the established mainstream media is reporting on wounded US soldiers in Iraq/Afghanistan. As usual, the US media is too consumed with fluff (Kobe Bryant, for instance, and now J. Lo and what's-his-name) and too prostituted to tell the truth about Jessica Lynch (BTW, I'm richer than she is, for I can look myself in the mirror everyday without pangs of conscience). And here is what the dad of one of Lynch's cohorts has to say about it.

As much as Iraq is turning into Vietnam (and didn't I tell you that months ago?), it really isn't like Vietnam at all. During Vietnam, the media reported not only on US troop deaths, but also on the wounded--those guys were heroes once.

Plus, the article goes on to affirm what I have said before and have been taken to task for saying--that the US media is controlled by corporations that are allied with the Bush administration, which is to say the US govt. controls the media.

This being the month we celebrate (again) the anniversary of 9-11, I will point the reader to one of the few mainstream media articles that try to uncover the truth about the so-called "War on Terrorism" (and naturally, the article wasn't written in the USA press)--

http://politics.guardian.co.uk/iraq/comm... The War on Terrorism is Bogus by Michael Meacher

At least as bogus as the "War on Drugs", and maybe more so. Meacher, BTW, is a British Member of Parliament.

http://www.philly.com/mld/philly/news/lo... Why don't we have answers to these 9-11 questions? by William Bunch

Twenty questions actually, such as why haven't we found Osama bin Laden?

And if you were wondering over the
