Ultimate Fighter - Week 7

Anyway, Team Green wins the challenge for a change, and Matt Hughes is ... not ... happy. And you know what that means:

The Blue Team gets to work out until they want to die. Again! Matt barks at his team: "You should have won the challenge. Either you're all a bunch of pansie losers, or I'm not pushing you hard enough as a coach. Let's make sure it's not the latter." Matt seemed like a nice enough guy in the beginning, but now I have to say that he might just have been born to be the captain of a little, well-known ship called the Bounty, if you know what I mean. If he were a squad captain in the military, I'd vote him most likely to be shot in the back by his own troops.

UFC President Dana announces that Matt must send one of his welterweights to join Rich's team, since there is an imbalance. Matt is unhappy about this turn: I'm being penalized because I've trained my welterweights better and they've won more elimination matches. But there's no hesitation when Dana forces Matt to choose.

Can you guess who it is? Can you? Huh? Huh? Huh?

That's right, Matt picks Jason. Gee, what a surprise. Blue Team actually is a little surprised, and rightly so. I mean geez, that's how Matt rewards a guy who fights his heart out and wins? What happens when he loses? (Answer: your teammates are made to suffer via a 250-hour workout.)

Jason expresses outrage in his candid camera moment, but that's that. Matt explains that he's all about winning, and he still feels, in spite of everything, that Jason has the worst technique of all the fighters present. What's more, Matt explains, Jason's now all banged up and therefore unlikely to be very useful to him.

I think there's a foreshadowing: Jason's going to be that much more motivated from
