and breaks easily. Anyway, the point is that Jason is now bleeding a little and can't see very well. Jorge flanks him, jumps on his back, and brings him down and goes for a rear naked choke. He has it solidly, and the pressure on the blood vessels that carry blood to Jason's head causes the blood to literally spurt out. If you knew it was fake, it would be comical in that "Evil Dead" way. But it's real blood, and it's getting all over Jorge's arm, the mat, etc. It makes you wince, even as you know that Jason's not in trouble due to the blood loss or the cut. He is in severe danger from the choke, however, and it looks to be all over when ... the bell rings. [Editor's note: the term "rear naked choke" isn't quite correct. A choke refers to a hold that closes off a person's windpipe and air supply. It is extremely dangerous and can cause death even when applied by an expert because the windpipe can actually collapse and close up permanently. Also nasty things can happen to the spinal cord. A strangle, however, refers to a hold that targets the blood vessels going to the brain. The goal here is to cause a blackout due to the brain not getting blood or oxygen. It's generally pretty safe: sure, you can keep the strangle on and kill the guy, but if you let go once he goes limp, consciousness returns in a few minutes, with no lasting side effects. The technique used by most grapplers (BJJ, Judo, etc.) today is a rear naked strangle, but has been called a choke for so long that the term has stuck.] The second round opens again with the two fighters trading strikes. Jorge seems to get lazy about keeping his hands up. Franklin notices and tells Jorge to get 'em up, but his advice is ignored; Jason capitalizes on this, landing a surprise shot that knocks Jorge's mouthguard out of his mouth. Jorge will absorb a solid punch and knee before action is halted so Jorge can put it back in. At this point, Jorge tries to throw a Muay Thai roundhouse kick, but the knee on his supporting leg collapses -- historically a bad knee for Jorge -- and Jorge ends up on his butt. This will affect Jorge's striking for the rest of the fight, but at
