Rich's best guys. Still, you'd think Matt would at least try to fake some interest in the fight. His advice to Jason as far as fight strategy and training? "Do whatever you want." ??? Who needs a coach if that's the kind of advise you're going to get? He does attend Jason's training sessions, but we see shots of him yawning, looking bored, and in one shot, playing a game of solitaire. I know that these scenes were edited together to magnify their effect, but come on, Matt, at least make it look good! Indeed, Jason does look to be a doomed sacrifice. Jorge is shown training and looks strong, balanced, fast and sure. Jason's training montage, on the other hand, shows him to be uncertain, awkward, and lacking in rhythm. So of course I'm sure that the fight's going to end with Jason being carried out of the ring. In round one, Jorge and Jason trade a few nice punches, and then Jorge takes Jason down. Unfortunately, Jorge is unable to end up on top and is forced to go to guard. Jason's leaness turns out to come with a three inch reach advantage, and he takes advantage of it here; he simply stands up, then reaches down to pound Jorge in the face. It's only mildly jarring to Jorge and doesn't do any serious damage, but as this scenario repeats itself repeatedly over the course of the fight, we are given a lesson in just how easy it is for even a slightly bigger guy to pound the crap out of a BJJ guy. At any rate, in the first ground encounter, Jason loses his balance and falls into Jorge. He's able to go for a guillotine, but it isn't quite there; Jorge quickly reverses, sweeps Jason and achieves side control. But he isn't able to really attack with it, even though it seemed to me like he could have at least tried some sort of attack. Eventually, both fighters end up standing up. The fighters are trading punches, and Jorge clearly has an advantage -- his quicker reflexes soon have Jason backing away trying to cover, and Jorge manages to open up a cut above Jason's right eye, which starts bleeding. Now, in a fight, among pro fighters, this isn't necessarily a big deal. A lot of boxers have been hit so often during training that the skin on their faces becomes very thin and
