Ultimate Fighter 2 - Week 4The week's challenge takes place on a jungle gym. It's basically a large version of last-man-hanging. It's pretty uninteresting, right up to the final, which has Joe of the Blue Team up against Jorge of the Green Team. Jorge ultimately wins, but it seemed to me that Jorge landed some kicks on Joe's neck and chest to win - a flagrant violation of the no-striking rule. But no one complains, and Green Team is declared the victor. Coach Franklin and the Green Team have a meeting to decide the fighters for the week's elimination match. It appears that the team members have set up a seniority system based on age, and thus, it's decided that Marcus should be the one to make the challenge this week. Marcus is all for challenging Joe. At this point, UFC President Dana White comes in to deliver a "What the F???" lecture. (And if you watch the show, you know I'm not kidding. Dana can't keep himself from dropping the F-bomb in every sentence he utters.) The weekly elimination matches, he says, are not the ultimate challenge or prize. Dana points out that the smart strategy is to have a strong fighter challenge a weak fighter to pick off the members of the other team. This way the strong fighter has a better shot of surviving until the final elimination match. He further points out that if a strong fighter fights another strong fighter, odds are even the victor will end up injured, and he, Dana, doesn't want to lose anymore fighters to injury. (He's probably running out of alternates.) Still, Green Team persists, so it's decided. The fight will be between Marcus and Joe. Coach Matt Hughes shows what everyone already suspects to be Jorge's weakness, taunting Jorge. Matt wonders aloud why Jorge isn't the one making the challenge and suggesting that Marcus's age is just a convenient excuse to let Jorge avoid backing up his mouth. The effect is instant, and visibly obvious. Jorge has problems keeping his temper in check - in fact, he looks like he's thinking about taking a swing at Matt right away. Everyone in the house - Green and Blue teams both - find the episode vastly amusing, and Jorge admits that this is a character flaw of his. Still Jorge is smart enough to realize that ultimately, team affiliations don't count. In the Marcus vs. Joe matchup, either way, Jorge will end
