D-Day...Leaving the Corporate WorldHave you ever considered leaving your cushy corporate job and going to a start up? Have you also ever considered checking into a mental facility to deal with the stress of the decision? The idea of selecting the unknown versus the known, the dream versus the reality, or the 80 hours instead of the 60 can be exceedingly difficult and stressful. This is especially challenging when your past is full of past mistakes and ill-timed events. How can you escape the decision paralysis? I think that it is important to be true to yourself and your own desires. The world will continue. Where you are at right now will more than likely blossom. After all, you are there today creating the opportunities. Training the mind to focus on your future and its unique opportunities is the most important factor. Forces of darkness, doubt, uncertainty and "would, could, should" need to be banished. We need to get past the fear, uncertainty and doubt - all great sales tools, but not the most practical things on which to base a decision. Search yourself for your true values, and for heaven's sake, let not money be one of them. Family, friends, sense of achievement and actually holding on to your dreams are what matters. If you have never done this, then now is the time to start. You will always land on your feet! Above all, be happy with the decision that you make, move forward with it, and never, never, never, ever look back (or give up)!
