Keeping The Wheels In Motion...

I just finished reading a biography on Warren Buffett - America's 2nd richest man, written by Roger Lowenstein. Buffett, is an admirable gentleman known for his foresight, patience and conviction, not to mention intelligence!

In my humble opinion, it is the study of great women and men - dead or alive, near or far - that is the key to continued self-development. Mentors are difficult to find and time is so precious, that picking up a book on a prospective hero is one of life's win-win situations - pleasure, relaxation, and learning all wrapped up into one.

This type of study or comparison should also take place on the ground - i.e. in your office - everybody has some special gift or characteristic worth noting and emulating. Grateful recognition of this can be a healthy step towards building comraderie and shaping your rapidly changing career.

You need to admire and emulate others - especially when seeking out new opportunities or growth. Intuitively feeling your way through may get you part way - but it is not the BEST way to do it.

I encourage you to try it - I am sure you'll enjoy its benefits!
