Transfered to Chatsworth High School because of the drama department which included Val Kilmer and Mare Winningham. He starred with Mare in a production of "The Sound of Music".
He was co-validictorian of his high school.
Worked as an office assistant to famous Broadway producer Joe Papp. Papp fired him after seeing him in a play to force him to persue acting full time.
