name: Robert De Niro Jr., also known as Bob or Bobby to his friends (Or so I've heard, I'm not in that circle). In his childhood his street nickname was Bobby Milk because of his pale complexion and shyness.

occupation: actor, director, producer, restaurateur, landlord.

born: August 17, 1943, in Greenwich Village NY

parents: His father, Robert De Niro Sr., was an abstract expressionist painter, sculptor and poet. He left the country for years at a time to persue a career in Europe when De Niro was growing up. His mother, Virginia Admiral, was also a talented painter who opened her own typing/proofreading business to pay the bills after the De Niro's divorced when lil' Robert was four.

siblings: none

first wife: Diahnne Abbott (1976 - 1988, divorced). Actress who had a small cameo as the theater cashier in Taxi Driver and as a singer in "New York, New York".

second wife: Grace Hightower, (June 17, 1998 - present, De Niro has filed for divorce) Former model and flight attendant.

children:
Drena (actress, Diahnne Abbott's daughter from a previous marriage)
Raphael (with Diahnne Abbott)
Julian and Aaron (with longtime girlfriend Toukie Smith)
Elliot, born March 18, 1998, (with second wife Grace Hightower)

education:

weight: depends on what movie he's working on
eyes: greenish/brown
hair: brown with a little gray
right-handed

best known for:
* violent tough-guy roles, especially men in the mafia or men who are very alienated and have deep psychological problems
* being a perfectionist who goes to great lengths to create authentic character (most famously gaining 60 lbs for Raging Bull)
* being a "method actor" (don't ask me what that means exactly)
* being very quiet, shy, and inarticulate in interviews
