Read Aloud - My Teacher is an Alien

Oct 1, 2001 - © Irene Taylor

My Teacher Flunked the Planet, and My Teacher Fried My Brains. Once I start reading My Teacher is an Alien, I put out others in the collection for the class to sign out and read, and they disappear like hotcakes!

If you are interested in a more formal study of My Teacher is an Alien, this study guide may be useful. You might also want to give one of the audio versions a try, or let you class play the CD-ROM game.

Bruce Coville has written many other scary stories not in this collection. Into the Land of the Unicorns, the first book in his fantasy series begins the story of a young girl destined to save a gentle land from the dangerous, evil hunters trying to destroy it. The Song of the Wanderer is the second book in that series. The Nina Tanleven Stories include The Ghost in the Big Brass Bed, The Ghost in the Third Row, and The Ghost Wore Gray. All in all, Bruce Coville has published well over 75 books, ranging from picture books to Shakespeare retellings. He is a wonderful author, and a read-aloud from My Teacher is an Alien is a great way to introduce him to your students.

Have some fun with this read-aloud and enjoy a spooky Halloween!!
