It's almost fall - time for students around the country to get ready to start another school year. This is an exciting time for students, teachers and parents everywhere.
Are you a New Teacher? The start of school for a new teacher presents many challenges. It is especially important for the new teacher to start the year out right. New teachers, substitutes, and even veteran teachers will find many good ideas by investigating these links: What to Expect Your First Year Teaching Teachers - here's a way to keep in touch with parents and students online. Check out this great site! It lets you set up your own page for students and parents to access just by zip code. Use it to post homework assignments, class activities and special projects. This one is definitely one to look into: Try these classroom and bulletin board decor ideas: First Day, Week, Month Activities. Make "Getting to Know Me" posters with your new students. Play "Bingo Get to Know Ya!". Share your favorite stories and let your students do the same. Learn about each other by holding class interviews and then "publishing" a class book.
