A Gift Basket Show Worth Attending© Shirley Frazier
Imagine this: a group of professional women who are dedicated to improving their gift basket businesses and sharing ideas with other designers. Three information-packed
seminars, including a hands-on gift basket design workshop. Exhibitors displaying the gift basket products you love most or supplying services your business needs to have. Hourly drawings to win donated products and supplies. A design contest with cash prizes. An end-of-show cash and carry event to purchase from exhibitors. And that's
just a sample of what you'll receive when attending The Orange County Gift Show.
This Show, to be held on Saturday, October 12, at California State University, Fullerton, California, is hosted by the Gift Basket Professionals Network. The Network consists of 30+ gift basket retailers and related professionals primarily located in the Southern California area, but several members are located in other states. Don't let geography hold you back from joining this Network, which keeps you in the loop with monthly mailings that detail meeting minutes, product sources, and tips for building your gift basket business. The Orange County Gift Show is in its third year. When you arrive at the conference, the act of being in the company of this energetic group is inspiring enough to uplift your own vision of how your business should grow. Each seminar is led by a Network member or invited guest who's knowledgeable, inside and out, about the topic. For example, Linda Hamilton, owner of Gift Baskets by Linda, conducted last year's hand-on gift basket design seminar. Linda's expert instruction guided more than a dozen women to create a sellable basket in one hour, which included making a professionally hand-tied bow. Everyone emerged from the room smiling, satisfied with their skills and ready to start or continue growing their enterprise. Is travelling to Fullerton, California for this annual event worth the trip? Consider how your business may languish because you didn't invest in learning from this group of professionals who willingly share advice and support, women who are not afraid to tell you what's worked, what hasn't and how you can prosper as they have. Imagine finding a beautiful assortment of trunks and chests to use in addition to baskets and having the ability to buy one or two on the spot at wholesale prices. Think about entering the design competition and winning prizes from $50 to $100, plus a one year membership to the Gift Basket Professionals Network, which by itself is worth over $100.
