Saturday, January 5

I'll be showing basic and intermediate gift basket ideas at the Philadelphia Gift Show in Fort Washington. The seminar, "Sensational Spring Gift Baskets," will show styles that incorporate techniques for making spring and summer baskets. I'll also share ideas on how to find new clients and increase your marketing efforts with current buyers.

Urban Expositions also produces the Orlando (FL) Gift Show where Carrie Escobar will lead a gift basket seminar entitled, "Bountiful Spring Gift Basket Designs" at 1:30 p.m. Orlando is a mecca for sales opportunities. If you're in the area, attending this seminar is a must for ideas on obtaining individual, corporate and travel industry-related sales.

Years ago, I spoke at this show and was impressed by the variety of themed merchandise that is available to court sales and marketing executives at hotels, convention centers and area attractions. Take your pad and pen and get ready to brainstorm your ideas with Carrie.

Sunday, January 12 and Monday, January 13

Dallas is the place for southern hospitality and gift basket news. The Dallas Market Center hosts "Spring Designs to Make Your Gift Basket Business Bloom," to be held on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. in The Gourmet Market space.

Come back the next day to attend, "Expanding Your Basket Business into the Wedding Market" on Monday at 3:00 p.m.

Where else except Los Angeles will you find an entire day of gift basket seminars under one roof? The L.A. Mart plays host to three events that will get your creative juices flowing.
