In other MLS news the San Jose Earthquakes announced on Friday that Frank Yallop had been named as head coach of the Quakes. Yallop played for several years in the English and US pro leagues and has also served as an assistant with DC and Tampa Bay.
The SuperDraft will be held on Monday, February 5, at 9:00 a.m. (ET) at the Signature Grand in Davie, FL. Round-by-round coverage of the MLS SuperDraft will be available live on MLSnet.com. In addition, a live audio broadcast will be aired on RevolutionSoccer.net. The Superdraft is the means that MLS uses for dispersing college, Pro-40, and other eligible players to the teams within MLS. A team could easily change its entire feel and approach to the game and become a contender within one season due to their choices in the Superdraft.
