You would think that these guys would relax a little bit in the off-season. Instead, there is almost more activity than there is during the season.

To start with, lets look at complete team news.

DC United finished up their eight-day trip to El Salvador with two wins and one loss. The loss came against the Salvadoran champion Luis Angel Firpo 2-1 on a disputed penalty kick late in the match. United also played C.D. Aguila to a 2-1 victory and then beat Alianza 1-0 even with playing the last 19 minutes 2 men down.

The Dallas Burn finished their eight day tour of Mexico with a record of 1-1-1 with a 1-0 loss to Chivas. The only goal in the match came from a penalty kick. Dallas dominated the match but was unable to put the ball in the net. The team started the week out with a 2-0 win over Atlas of the Mexican first division and then tied Bachilleres of the second division and then the loss to Chivas.

Ben Olsen has played extremely well for Nottingham Forest and scored the game winning goal over Preston in their 3-1 win. Brian Mcbride is still recovering from surgery to remove a blood-clot.

Many, many players have retired including Andres Limpar of the Colorado Rapids and Miklos Molnar of the Kansas City Wizards. Team have already begun to look for new talent and trades. Teams to watch for moves will especially be the Rapids and Earthquakes. Although the Rapids made it into the playoffs, they struggled to get there, and the Quakes weren't even close. The Burn are looking for a new head coach, and the Revs are looking for some new assistant coaches. Keep checking the MLS page (www.mlsnet.com) for up-to-date news on team changes.
