Two Teams Riding High, Someone Going to FallTampa Bay crusies into the Big Apple tomorrow riding high from their first road win of the season against Dallas. Mutiny forward Mamadou Diallo has been on fire as of late and has 12 goals in 11 matches. The Mutiny are looking strong, but the Metros are looking stronger. The Metrostars return home from a 2-0 victory against LA, in LA. The Metrostars are beginning to fire on all cylinders. The offense has come together and the defense is playing very tight, and this is without Lothar Matthaus. I would expect the Metros to net another win. The first early match on Saturday is the Crew at home against Dallas. The game will be televised on ESPN at 4:30pm ET. The Crew will look to rebound from their 3-2 loss against Dallas, in Dallas. The teams will remain much the same outside of the fact that the Burn will have the return of Ricardo Iribarren to their defense. The Burn have looked strong of late, and Dallas had to rally late in Wednesday's match to pull out the win. San Jose has been strong at home, but has struggled on the road. Just when Azizi was starting to look like he was fitting in, he will be out this match with the Iranian national team. Because of that fact, and who they are playing, I would expect it to be difficult for the Quakes to muster much offense. The Revolution held Miami to a shot-less game last week. I would expect the New England defense to be just as tight at home against San Jose. The missing in action will dictate the match against DC and KC. The Wizards will be without Miklos Molnar to Denmark national team duties. That is the only player they are missing. The united, on the other hand, will be missing five of their normal starters, three of them from their back line. KC may have taken their first loss last week, but look for them to rebound hard. They still have a lot of offensive firepower, and the defense will be looking to re-establish themselves. Although Miami is the healthier of the two teams, they could not put out the Fire in Chicago. Now the Fire travel to Miami and try to duplicate their 2-1 over Miami from Wednesday. But Miami will have the return of Pablo Mastroeni, which could strongly beef up the Miami back line. Chicago is missing a number of players to national team duty, but it did not seem to affect them on Wednesday. Look for this to be a very close game.
