Appearances can be Deceiving...?

Happy new year all!

The other day I was talking to someone about spirits and their appearance to people on our plane of existance. I was saying that I had read once that people "regress", when they've died, to the healthiest/happiest point in their lives. If this was true, I wondered, why do some appear as old or unhealthy etc.?

I know I have 'seen' more than one elderly spirit and I can't imagine that they would have changed to that condition... it seemed more like they had passed in that state.

Some believe that spirits and 'others' can almost "translate" their look to you. Like a nice, cute, little being might appear as a beloved stuffed animal or old pet to someone. Some of these people also believe that the image prtrayed is sometimes made up and/or not even close to what the actual being looks like. This might be true of something small trying to appear big or something nasty trying to appear as cute and nice etc..

I guess, in my opinion, I believe that most spirits, (as in people that have died), aren't experienced enough to alter the way they appear, or have a reason to. I have come to the opinion that maybe the ones that don't regress back to their happiest state in life are the ones that don't even know that they're dead... thus they are perpetuating not only their life and activities prior to death but also their features, hairstyle, clothing etc..

I do believe that some things don't "translate" their images 100% accurately but that usually the gist is given... whether they can disguise themselves... my jury's still out on that. I have an ex that claimed to 'dress up' his guys as bunnies and teddy bears, (I don't know if he meant that literally or just something un-intimidating in general), I don't know if this was accurate or not but I could see him trying to do that... I'll leave it at that. LOL

So, have you seen a spirit that is old or out of the norm? Do you believe in different portrayals by other beings? Any other thoughts on the subject or stories? That's why we're here! Start a discussion and maybe we'll learn something new and interesting. ;) If nothing else, we'll have a good time and share some stories!

Thanks for reading, hope you all had wonderful holidays... BB Shannon
