This, by far, is my favorite season and I am happy to see it arrive again this year .
Maybe you've noticed in the past, or recently, that fall has a certain magick that can be sensed moreso than other seasons. I attribute this to the planes becoming more noticeable to one another. Have you been driving or walking and slowed down because you saw something only to realize that there was nothing, apparently, there? It happens to me, and has hapened for many years now and I know of many others with a "seasonal paranoia". LOL It can be a little unnerving, to say the least, when these things happen. I guess the way that I started thinking about it was like having two rooms with a large window between them. Most of the year the window is like a 2 way mirror, where one side can see in but the other, (we), can't see out. Since other beings aren't trained to ignore the other planes, such as Eastern humans are usually taught. As the time comes closer to Samhain, (Halloween), the mirrored surface starts to wear off so both sides can see each other. After Samhain the veil starts becoming thicker again. It is because of this theory that Samhain is used for honoring ancestors and leaving them gifts. Samhain is also used for clarity in divination, rune reading, tarot reading etc., with the belief that our ancestors, and beings on the other side of the veil, can help guide us on our paths. Today, September 22nd, is a holiday called Mabon in many circles... it is the fall equinox where the bounty of the harvest is celebrated and people prepare for winter. On this holiday, especially with the recent events, it is a good time for be thankful for what we have been given and to pray for those who have passed. Blessings to you and yours, Shannon Go To Page: 1
