Whenever I go back to my grandmother's house I am reminded of my grandfather and his rather poor energy that was amplified by his drinking. I didn't know him very well, we only saw the family once a year or so and he stayed in the back bedroom most of the time watching TV and being un-social, (not really anti-social he just liked people to come back to his territory instead of him coming out of it).
When I go back, not so much this last time but many of the previous times, I can't stand even going near that bedroom. The energy is horrible and I'd do almost anything I could to avoid it. I haven't been back in a few years. Originally when I sensed the feeling back there, (after my grandfather had passed), I thought it was his ghost. Then, after coming back north/home I had a run-in with his ghost and the energy was completely different. [Even when I thought that it was his ghost in the house I wondered why it was still so nasty and not more at peace without the drink].
I thought that maybe it was just a tracing of his energy in the house and not his ghost, given how much time he spent in the one spot, literally almost all of his time in the house. I'm still not quite sure what it is... I think it's just left-over impressions of him but, to confuse things even more, my aunt put in a huge standing wall 'armoire'. The energy was so nice in that room compared to usual that I wondered if that armoire hadn't effected it. I think it's pine and, from what some people have told me, pine trees, (I don't know if this also goes for the wood out of the trees), can trap energy and cleanse energy. It is my guess that this *did* effect the room's feel.
Where my husband used to work there was a wonderful feel, it was an old inn in northern NH. Some people swore that it was haunted by 'the lady in red' and, even my skeptical hubby, used to come home freaked out because he wasn't alone in the morning in the kitchen. He would literally turn to speak to, what he thought was, his friend and then realize that she wasn't there. He even saw what the ghost wore.
